A Bit About Me
With over a decade of experience working in education, I have worked with children three months old through high school age in a variety of settings. I came into this work serendipitously and each experience has expanded the breadth and scope of my practice. While trying to figure out what direction I wanted to take in college I began working at one of the onsite preschools and volunteering at my old elementary school. I fell in love with this work and took any opportunity to continue. In each class I found myself gravitating to the students who struggled academically and behaviorally, finding that when we built a relationship, we could tackle anything together. I watched these children grow into themselves, gain confidence, and build academic success. I have built a career around creating space for the misfits and misunderstood. As an educator I am committed to making education accessible and equitable for all, meeting those I work with where they are, and making learning relevant, relatable, and meaningful. In my work, I use a combination of evidence-based intervention programs and self-designed curriculum based on current research to provide appropriate, individualized intervention to each of my clients.
